How to Search the Corpus of Medieval Occitan Lyric
Searching the corpus is as simple as typing one or more words in the search bar and clicking "Search."

You can also refine your search results using several advanced options.
Wildcards

* : represents any sequence of characters
? : represents any single character, including none
. : represents any single character
Square Brackets

[abc] : matches any one character from those enclosed in brackets
Other regular expressions

The search supports all JavaScript regular expressions.
Check here for more.
Forms

Click on "Forms" to view a list of all forms of any word
or character sequence as they appear in the database.
Handling Results
Click on a line in the results.
The cobla (stanza) will appear on the right side of the screen.
Click "Full text" to view the entire song.

To highlight entries most relevant to your research, select the star icon.
Click "Filter highlighted" to display only highlighted results.
Click the arrow to the right of the search bar to view
previously searched sequences and their result counts.
Click a searched sequence to retrieve results,
including highlighted lines.
Search by Lyric
Click on "Search by Lyric" to find a text by its BdT number
(following the updated BEdT), author, or incipit.
Spelling Normalization
Please note that the normalization feature is experimental.
It applies general rules of Occitan linguistics,
but achieving complete accuracy would require full lemmatization.
